Arizona is in the midst of an unprecedented period of growth. Since 2010, our population has grown by a whopping 15%, nearly twice the rate of the US nationally. According to a recent analysis from the Economic and Business Research Center at the University of Arizona, Arizona is poised to add another 2.5 million residents by 2050.
That means our infrastructure needs to grow with us. We need our roads, bridges, water systems, hospitals, and schools to support the Arizona of tomorrow.

Today, a building trades worker in Arizona can expect to earn as little as 60% of the wages and benefits enjoyed by someone doing the exact same job right next door in Nevada.
That’s not right. The Arizonans who build our roads, schools, hospitals, and aqueducts deserve better.
To meet the opportunity ahead, Arizona needs to remove artificial barriers to competitive worker pay. Arizona Prevails is working with elected officials, policymakers, and community leaders to ensure public tax dollars are spent on the high-skilled, properly-trained workforce that can build our infrastructure safely, cost-effectively, and on-time.
